Lifeline, established by the FCC in 1985, provides low-income Americans with access to telecommunication services. It helps individuals stay connected to employment opportunities, healthcare providers, and emergency assistance.

The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) helps families access affordable broadband for work, education, and other essential activities. It offers a monthly discount of up to $30 on internet services and up to $75 for households on Tribal lands. Additionally, it provides a one-time discount for purchasing a computer or tablet.

Eligibility for these benefits includes participation in programs such as Medicaid, EBT / SNAP, and SSI or meeting specific low-income guidelines. Those in federal assistance programs like Federal Public Housing Assistance may also qualify.

Once approved, your phone and service will be shipped within 3-4 business days.

Approval typically takes 20-30 minutes, though it may take a few days if additional document verification is required.

To verify eligibility for government assistance services, we may need the last four digits of your SSN. Your personal information remains private and secure.

You can use the provided email to track your application status. Updates will be available within 48-72 hours, including any required steps or additional documentation.

To keep your Lifeline service active, you must use it at least once every 30 days. The benefit is for eligible individuals only and cannot be transferred. Each household is limited to one Lifeline benefit.

To maintain your ACP benefits, you must verify your eligibility annually by confirming your income level or participation in qualifying programs.

You can select any participating provider that offers ACP benefits, though services and equipment may vary by provider.

If you move, you can transfer your Lifeline and ACP benefits to your new address. Be sure to update your address with your service provider.

The device you receive depends on the options available from participating providers and may vary based on stock. Details on available devices will be provided during application or approval.
